Ensim was developed at the Canadian hydraulics Center (CHC) to meet a wide range of environmental forecasting and decision support systems. Ensim is designed as an advanced numerical simulation environment, as well as a general data processing and visualization system, which can easily adapt to any kind of environmental data. Ensim provides an ideal framework and model data for integrating environmental data and GIS information. An Ensim application can be designed to run a simple numerical model, a set of digital models, providing various pre-processing and post-processing tools. Its purpose is to serve as a general toolbox for system developers to select components to create an application. For modelers, Ensim creates a virtual environment in which you can view simulation results, animate and analyze in 1, 2, and 3-D spaces.
