The daily average temperature data of three hydrological points in this data mart from 2003 to 2004. This data set can extract the meteorological information of glaciers and study the mass balance of glaciers. The three hydrological sections are equipped with self gauge water level gauge. The flow measurement is mainly conducted by the current meter method, and the real-time flow is obtained from the water level discharge relationship line. Meteorological observation items mainly include temperature, precipitation, humidity, evaporation, ground temperature, sunshine, etc. All observation data were sorted out according to the standard. The hydrological point of Glacier No.1 is located in the river channel 300m away from the end of Glacier No.1. The ice snow runoff of Glacier No.1 is monitored. The elevation of the section is 3659m, and the drainage area is 3.34km2, of which the glacier area is 1.74km2. It is a concrete rectangular section (1.0m high and 1.6m wide), and the meteorological field is located on the left bank of the section. The hydrological point of the air ice bucket is located on the left side of the source area of the Urumqi River, with the mouth of the bucket facing south. It is used to observe the runoff of snow and permafrost melt water in the high mountain area. The elevation of the section is 3805m, and the drainage area is 1.68km2. It is a concrete rectangular section (1.0m high and 1.0m wide). The meteorological field is located on the right bank of the section. The general control hydrological section is located at the confluence of Daxigou and luobudaogou in the source area of Urumqi River. It is equipped with general control hydrological points to control and monitor the total runoff of precipitation in the source area of Urumqi River, 7 glaciers and alpine snow and permafrost around the glacier; the elevation of the controlled end face is 3408m, and the drainage area is 28.9km2; among them, the glacier area is 5.6km2. It is a concrete section with a working bridge. The meteorological field is located on the moraine hill on the left bank of the section.

Tianshan No.1 glacier is a two branch ice bucket valley glacier, with a length of 2.2 km, an average width of 500 m, an area of 1.828 square kilometers, a maximum thickness of 140 meters, a maximum altitude of 4476 meters, an average annual velocity of about 5 meters, an altitude of 3734 meters at the end of the ice tongue, and an average snow line height of 4055 meters. The routine hydrological and meteorological observation of Tianshan glacier observation station is carried out at No.1 glacier hydrological point, empty ice bucket hydrological point and general control hydrological point in the source area of Urumqi River.
