The permafrost distribution data set of China Pakistan Economic Corridor is divided into two folders, which are grid map of Permafrost Distribution and vector map of permafrost distribution. The former includes CPEC_ Permafrost Distribution 2016 and CPEC_ The spatial resolution is 1km and the format is TIF. The latter is the vector map of Permafrost Distribution CPEC_ Permaforstdistribution 2016, which is saved in SHP format. The geographic coordinate system of all data is wgs1984. Based on the MODIS land surface temperature data product of remote sensing data, the permafrost distribution data (GeoTIFF format, spatial resolution of 1km) of China Pakistan Economic Corridor are obtained by using ttop model, and the data quality is analyzed and evaluated by using statistical methods and existing literature. This data set can be used as the background survey data of permafrost changes in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, and provide basic data support for the study of frost heaving and thawing settlement in the regional engineering construction. This data set can also be used for comprehensive analysis of climate and hydrological data, revealing the quantitative relationship between water, soil, gas and biogenic in Karakoram mountain area of China Pakistan corridor, and deepening the scientific understanding of ecological environment and sustainable development in the context of climate change in the region.

The data preparation of Permafrost Distribution in China Pakistan Economic Corridor is based on four kinds of data: MODIS surface temperature product mod11a2 LST data in 2016, the second glacial cataloging data set (v1.0) in China Pamirs Plateau in 2009, Pakistan glacial cataloging data set in 2003-2004, world soil database (hwsdv1.2) in 2008.
