This dataset is generated based on the ALOS 12.5m DEM data cropping, covering the topographic elevation information of the typical watersheds of Chaohu Lake Basin, Chu River Basin, Lishiahe River Area and Yangtze River Delta Demonstration Area. Through the acquisition and analysis of high-precision topographic data, the topographic relief and terrain characteristics of the study area are comprehensively reflected, and the spatial resolution of the data can meet the needs of refined topographic research.
After analysis, this dataset provides scientific basis and decision-making support for water resources allocation and disaster prevention and mitigation strategies in the basin, as well as important data support for the construction of the flood simulation model and the study of regional sustainable development.

This dataset is derived from the phased-array synthetic aperture radar (PALSAR) imagery carried by the Advanced Land Observing Satellite (ALOS), and is generated using interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) technology to provide 12.5-meter spatial resolution topographic elevation information. InSAR) technology, providing topographic elevation information at a spatial resolution of 12.5 meters. The data crop covers typical study areas such as the Chaohu Lake Basin, the Chu River Basin, the Lishang River area and the Yangtze River Delta Demonstration Area.
The topographic data were acquired by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) based on the Advanced Land Observing Satellite (ALOS), which carries a phased-array-type The ALOS satellite carries a phased-array synthetic aperture radar (PALSAR) with all-weather, all-day imaging capability, and generates high-precision digital elevation models (DEMs) using interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) technology. During the data preparation process, JAXA processes the radar images, including image alignment, phase disentanglement, and terrain correction, to obtain 12.5-meter spatial resolution terrain elevation data on a global scale.
The final ALOS 12.5m DEM data have been optimized and verified for many times, with high accuracy of terrain description, and are widely used in terrain analysis, hydrological research and ecological environment monitoring.
This dataset is generated by cropping, preprocessing, correcting and optimizing the elevation information of Chaohu Lake Basin, Chu River Basin, Lishiahe River Area and Yangtze River Delta Demonstration Area extracted from the ALOS 12.5m DEM data provided by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).
Firstly, the original DEM data were cropped according to the study area range vector boundaries to remove the non-study area range elevation data. Subsequently, the geographic consistency and elevation accuracy of the data were ensured through the steps of geographic alignment, coordinate system conversion and outlier processing, and the interpolation and smoothing techniques were used to repair the missing values or outliers.
