This dataset contains information on the distribution of rivers, lakes, and wetlands in the Yellow River Basin area, including details such as the regions through which the rivers flow, drainage areas, river lengths, tributary information, wetland areas, wetland geographical locations, and the types of flora and fauna associated with the wetlands. The data sources are mainly yearbooks.
The river distribution in this dataset is widespread, and the wetlands include a total of 17 wetlands: the Yellow River Wetland in Guide County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province; the Ruoergai Wetland; the Ningxia Plain Wetland; the Hetao Plain Wetland; the Mu Us Desert Wetland; the Sanmenxia Reservoir Area Wetland; the Henan Yellow River Wetland National Nature Reserve; the Northern Henan Yellow River Old Course National Nature Reserve; the Henan Kaifeng Liuyuankou Wetland Provincial Nature Reserve; the Yellow River Estuary Delta Wetland; the Baotou Yellow River National Wetland Park; the Gangnagemaco Wetland in the Yellow River Source Area; the Ningxia Qingtongxia Reservoir Area Autonomous Region-level Nature Reserve; the Ningxia Wuzhong Yellow River National Wetland Park; the Ningxia Pingluo Tianhewan Yellow River National Wetland Park; the Ningxia Yinchuan Yellow River Outer Beach National Wetland Park; and the Ningxia Swan Lake National Wetland Park.
