The Randolph Glacier Inventory (RGI) is a complete catalog of global glacier profiles released by GLIMS. Currently, there are six versions released: 1.0 in February 2012, 2.0 in June 2012, 3.0 in April 2013, 4.0 in December 2014, 5.0 in July 2015, and 6.0 in July 2017
This dataset is 3.2 (revised version, August 2013), which includes approximately 195000 glaciers with a glacier area of 727300 ± 35700 km2 The IPCC5 report (Draft of AR5) has adopted this data achievement

Raw data, unprocessed
Data quality checks include geometric, topological, and attribute checks, including:
1) All polygons are checked using the ArcGIS Repair Geometry tool
2) Removed glaciers smaller than 0.01 square kilometers
3) The topology is checked using the Does Not Overlap rule
4) The attribute table utilizes Fortran subroutines and Python scripts for data quality checks
