This dataset is the observation data of soil moisture content in the runoff field of different landform types in the Qiaogou watershed of the first sub area of the loess hilly and gully region in 2023. The Qiaogou watershed is located in Suide County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, with a watershed area of 0.45 square kilometers. The watershed is leaf shaped, with a length and width of 1.4 kilometers and 0.32 kilometers, a relative height difference of 132 meters, and a gully density of 5.4 square kilometers. It belongs to the first level tributary of Peijiamao Gully (a first level tributary of Wuding River). This dataset observes the soil moisture content in 8 different types of runoff zones in Qiaogou. Soil samples are collected daily, and the samples are measured on rainy days. If there is no precipitation, no measurements are taken. The basic information of the runoff field can be found in the "Explanation of Runoff Fields of Different Geomorphic Types in Bridge Gullies". The main observation indicators include: field number, measurement time, sampling date, soil moisture content (%) at the measurement point, and precipitation between two measurement times (mm).

Manual observation P>
At representative fixed locations, after removing surface weeds, samples were taken at depths of 10-20cm and 30cm, and measured using the drying (weighing) method P>
The observation data has been manually checked at four levels in the process of compilation and entry, including tabulation, initial calibration, re calibration and review, to ensure the data quality
