This data set is the precipitation observation data of Jiuyuangou watershed rainfall station from 2001 to 2010. Dsj2 siphon rain gauge and SM1 ordinary rain gauge with diameter of 20cm are used for parallel observation. When the self recording rain gauge fails, ordinary rain gauge is used instead. The data include station network layout map, daily precipitation scale, precipitation extract table and maximum precipitation table of each period (1). The basic information of the rainfall stations in Jiuyuangou basin is detailed in the description of the situation of Jiuyuangou watershed from 2001 to 2010.

Instrument continuous observation, artificial timing observation
Precipitation observation instruments include dsj2 siphon rain gauge and SM1 ordinary rain gauge with diameter of 20cm. Dsj2 self recording rain gauge adopts 24 segment system for annual or flood season observation, SM1 ordinary rain gauge adopts 8:00 and 20:00 two-stage system for annual observation. In case of failure of self recording rain gauge, observation data of ordinary rain gauge are used for supplement. It mainly observes the beginning and ending time of precipitation and statistics of precipitation. When the intermittent time of precipitation is more than 15min, it is observed as two precipitation before and after the interval. When the intermittent time is less than 15min, it is recorded as a precipitation observation. If a precipitation crosses 8:00 and 20:00, it should be measured at 8:00 and 20:00.
The instrument calibration shall be carried out before the start of annual observation of rain gauge. In the process of data entry, there are four levels of manual verification, including tabulation, primary proofreading, rechecking and auditing, so as to ensure the data quality.
