<p>This data set is the observation data of the flow station of daliushugou watershed in the third sub region of Loess Hilly and gully region from 1954 to 1958. Including sediment observation and precipitation observation data. There are two kinds of rain gauge used in precipitation observation, self recording rain gauge and ordinary rain gauge. There are two types of self recording rain gauge: one is imitated Su Ν - 1 self recording meter; the other is dsj2 siphon self recording meter made by Tianjin Ocean instrument factory. The ordinary rain gauge is divided into two types according to the size of the rain bearing caliber, i.e. the standard rain tube with the diameter of 20 cm and the simple rain tube with the diameter of 11.3 cm. According to the general rainfall, the distance between two pipes is 2m. In addition to observing according to the specified time interval, each station should also record the beginning and ending time of precipitation.
The flow measuring structure of daliushugou is a triangular wide crested weir. The water level discharge relationship calibrated and corrected by the measured points is used to deduce the flow data according to the water level. The sediment concentration was measured by one point method at the water edge. The number of sampling is basically the same as that of current measurement. Sometimes, the sampling frequency is increased appropriately to control the change of sediment concentration. The filtration method is usually used for sand sample treatment. It includes daily precipitation observation results table, precipitation extraction table, maximum precipitation table of each period (1), hydrological elements extraction table of runoff station, and successive flood test results table of runoff station.

<p>Daily precipitation scale and precipitation extract table: except for the daily precipitation and precipitation extraction table of self recording stations (if the self recording paper cannot separate the time periods, it shall be extracted from the rainfall gauge record), the ordinary rainfall station only makes the daily precipitation table (some stations make the precipitation extraction table). The entrusted mass rainfall station has not been reorganized.

In the process of compilation and input of observation data, there are four levels of manual verification, including tabulation, primary calibration, recheck and audit, so as to ensure the data quality.
<p>The self recording rain gauge is calibrated before the beginning of flood season every year. In the observation process, when the self recording rain gauge has abnormal value, the ordinary rain gauge observation value is used for interpolation. In the process of compilation and input of observation data, there are four levels of manual verification, including tabulation, primary calibration, recheck and audit, so as to ensure the data quality. </p>
