Aimed at the common anisotropic slate in practical engineering, RSM-SY5 (N) wave velocity meter, TC3000E thermal conductivity meter and self-developed thermal conductivity meter were used to measure the wave velocity, thermal conductivity and thermal expansion coefficient of slate respectively. The uniaxial compressive strength of slate was measured by RMT rock mechanics tester, and typical stress-strain curves were obtained. The anisotropic characteristics of physical and mechanical properties of slate were systematically studied.
