Lpjml model is developed by LPJ, which is a dynamic global vegetation model (DGVM). It is designed to simulate the global terrestrial carbon cycle and the response of carbon and vegetation patterns to climate change. As carbon and water cycles are closely linked, it is quickly extended to simulate the terrestrial water cycle.
