The study used optical remote sensing data such as Landsat TM/ETM+ and Terra ASTER from around 2009. After plane correction and orthophoto correction, automatic extraction and expert intervention revision methods were used to extract glacier analysis information from western China in 2007. The data was validated by field glacier investigation teams. This dataset is the second glacier cataloging dataset (V1.0) (2009) of the Yarkand River basin in China, which contains the following attributes: glacier name, primary basin cataloging, secondary basin code, tertiary basin code, GLIMS name, glacier coordinates, glacier elevation, highest elevation, lowest elevation, glacier area, glacier perimeter, glacier altitude zone distribution, glacier uncertainty information, etc
