In this data set, for the Everest area, DEM extracted from topographic map, SRTM (2000) and remote sensing image is used to obtain the elevation change of glacier surface in the center of glaciation through difference calculation. It is only aimed at the change of glacier surface elevation from 1974 to 2006 in Everest area, so it is not supplemented and improved, and it is completely open sharing. The dataset contains two wavebands, elevationchange1974-2000 and elevationchange2000-2006. Field measurement unit: meter (m). The data set is mainly the remote sensing image extraction data, which only represents the glacier surface elevation change at the acquisition time of the remote sensing image. The time is 1974-2000 and 2000-2006.

This data set is mainly interpreted data. The main data sources are DEM of topographic map, SRTM (2000) and DEM extracted from remote sensing image.
Using DEM from topographic map, SRTM (2000) and remote sensing image, the elevation change of glacier surface in the center of glaciation was obtained by difference calculation.
After checking the accuracy of DEM in different periods, the plane and elevation are corrected by using the cosine relationship between slope aspect and elevation difference. Then, the relationship between the maximum curvature and elevation difference is used to reduce the error caused by different resolutions. The DEM registration and relative accuracy evaluation of the two periods are carried out, and the glacier elevation changes in different periods are obtained
