This data set contains the vehicle borne dual polarization Doppler radar observation data of the eighth management and protection area (with complex underlying surface and transition zone characteristics) of Minle County Forestry Bureau in the middle reaches of Heihe River in 2008.
The observation content is the high-quality continuous estimation data of dual polarization Doppler radar every 10 minutes on a 250 m × 250 m horizontal grid.
Observation location: Liuba (38.73 ° n, 100.45 ° e, altitude: 1668m) in Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, the observation time starts from May 20, 2008 to July 5, 2008.
The purpose of the observation experiment is to explore the method of joint radar observation and inversion of surface precipitation type and intensity in high and cold regions by using simultaneous precipitation particle drop spectrometer observation and intensive surface precipitation observation, and to establish a systematic and continuous radar observation data set.
The obtained echo parameter intensities are velocity V, spectral width W, intensity reflectivity difference, differential transmission phase shift, phase contrast, correlation coefficient and linear depolarization ratio LDR.

The dual polarization Doppler radar is 3cm in wavelength, 1US or 2us in transmitting pulse width, 109dbm in receiver sensitivity, 45 degree linear polarization wave in transmitting waveform level, 0.5dB in intensity signal accuracy and 0.1 in phase signal accuracy.
