The sample survey conducted by the Shaoputou Desert Research and Experiment Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2004 to 2022 provided the basic data on the species composition of the shrub layer in the desert plant community (DA01); the data on the elemental contents of the dominant plants in the desert plant community (DA02) were obtained through experimental tests after sampling; the data on the shrub phenological observations of the desert plant community (DA03) were obtained through artificial phenological observations.
