Based on Landsat series satellite remote sensing data and 12.5m resolution DEM data, the feature selection random forest method was used to extract the distribution of glacier moraines in the Tomur Peak area; Based on Sentinel-1 SLC data, the monthly glacier flow velocity in the Tomur Peak area from 2021 to 2022 was estimated using offset tracking method.

The Sentinel-1A data was obtained from the Alaska Satellite Facility (ASF) of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the United States.
The feature selection random forest method, which combines texture and terrain factors, was used to identify the changes in surface moraine range of the Tomur type glacier from 1989 to 2022. Based on Sentinel-1 image data, the flow velocity of the Tomur type glacier was extracted using offset tracking method.
The identification of moraines and estimation of glacier flow velocity in this study were obtained using reliable methods, which can be used for glacier related research in the Tomur Peak area.
