This dataset is based on Landsat OLI images, combined with ArcGIS and ENVI software, NDSI and Google Earth images, and uses semi-automatic glacier mapping methods to extract glacier boundaries. This data can provide basic data support for glacier research in the Tianshan region.

The original image is Landsat OLI land satellite image data, obtained from geographic spatial data clouds( http://www.gscloud.cn/ )Download.
1. The band ratio method automatically extracts the initial glacier boundary;
2. Manually revise the initial boundary.
The error can be attributed to the resolution of remote sensing images captured by visual interpretation of glacier boundaries. Therefore, the uncertainty of glacier interpretation can be calculated according to the formula: EA=N ·λ 2/2, where N is the number of pixels; λ is the resolution of different remote sensing images. The comprehensive evaluation shows that the uncertainty of visual interpretation of glaciers in the Tomur Peak area in 2016 was ± 0.96 km2.
