A total of 47 species of zooplankton were investigated in this dataset, belonging to 3 phyla, 4 classes, 8 orders, 12 families and 31 genera. The dataset contains 161 data in 10 fields including sampling site,longitude,latitude,Chinese gate name, Chinese class name, Chinese head name, Chinese language name, Chinese genus name, Chinese name, Latin name, abundance and biomass. The zooplankton data set in the southern section of the Yellow River can provide scientific basis for the water ecological health protection and evaluation of the Yellow River. The Excel file of the dataset contains a Sheet with 10 fields, including loci, longitude,latitude,Chinese phylum name, Chinese class name, Chinese head name, Chinese language name, Chinese genus name, Chinese name, Latin name, abundance and biomass. Total 161 pieces of data.
All the original data in this dataset were collected outdoors, and zooplankton samples near the sample points were collected using zooplankton bionets. The samples were brought back to the laboratory to concentrate, and then the concentrated samples were fully shaken and uniform, inhaled the zooplankton biological counting box, and identified to the genus or species classification level under the microscope, the dominant species was identified to the species, and the other species was identified to the genus at least.
All data in this dataset were calculated by Excel analysis, and zooplankton identification was based on freshwater zooplankton atlas.
Sample sampling was carried out in strict accordance with the specifications, and each sample point was collected in accordance with the provisions of SC/T 9402-2010 to ensure data accuracy.
