This dataset contains manual observation and automatic instrument observation data from 41 general meteorological stations in typical snow cover areas in my country during the two snow cover seasons from 2017 to 2019.
Ordinary stations are mainly located in Xinjiang, Qinghai, Xizang, Inner Mongolia and Northeast China. Among them, ordinary stations in Xinjiang, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia and Northeast China include snow depth and air temperature data, and ordinary stations in Xizang include snow depth and snow pressure data.
At the same time, the data of each ordinary station also includes a data self-test table and a data analysis chart. The dataset contains a total of 4 folders, 10 data tables, 85 forms, and a total of 834415 records.
See the description document for the naming rules of the dataset, time range, and site latitude, longitude and altitude information.
Data time resolution: The resolution of ordinary station data in Xinjiang is hourly; the resolution of ordinary station data in Qinghai is 10 minutes; the resolution of ordinary station data in Xizang is daily; ordinary station data in Northeast China provides data with both 10 minutes and daily time resolutions.

This dataset mainly comes from manual observations at meteorological stations and data from automatic observation instruments installed by various units.
Quality control was carried out on the raw observation data to ensure its integrity and accuracy.
First, raw data of automatic and manual observations from each meteorological station are obtained, and then quality control is carried out.
The data quality control stage is divided into two steps: First, the data provider checks the integrity and accuracy of the data. The data integrity check mainly checks whether the time range and observation fields of the data at each station meet the project requirements. On the one hand, the data accuracy check determines and eliminates abnormal values through numerical illustration and manual experience. On the other hand, the data storage method and format are unified and standardized. The second stage is for different data providers to cross-check other data, review the integrity and accuracy of the data again, and integrate data from different regions. Among them, the data self-test table and data analysis chart generated during the data quality control process are stored in the data folder.
Finally, the data from various meteorological stations are integrated to obtain a complete, accurate and consistent format snow depth data set at ordinary stations.
