<p>This data set is the soil moisture content observation data of 25 runoff fields in Nanxiaohegou basin from 2011 to 2018, including 14 bare land slope plots, 7 measuring points, 6 woodland 4 measuring points, 5 natural wasteland and 5 measuring points. From May to September, 2011 to April to October, 2016 to October, 2016, a soil drill was used to conduct stratified sampling in the protection zone of the community. The depth of stratification was 0-10cm, 10-20cm, 20-40cm, 40-60cm, 60-80cm, 80-100cm. The soil moisture content was calculated by the drying weight difference method. The value was the soil moisture content of the soil layer. The soil moisture content was measured after rainfall. </p>

<p>Artificial timing observation
Soil drilling and drying
1. Weigh the sample and place it in a weighing dish of known weight; 2. Put it into the oven, dry it to constant weight (about 8 hours) at 105-110 ℃, and weigh it.
<p>Water content weight (g) = (soil container + wet soil weight) - (soil container + dry soil weight)
Water content of soil sample w (%) = water content / dry soil weight × 100%
<p>In the process of compilation and input of observation data, there are four levels of manual verification, including tabulation, primary calibration, recheck and audit, so as to ensure the data quality. </p>
