This dataset includes daily mean methane concentration observation data from the Global Atmospheric Background Observatory in Waliguan, China from 1994 to 2014, mainly including annual methane daily data; The Valiguan Atmospheric Background Reference Observatory in China was founded in 1994 and is located on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau at an altitude of 3810 meters. It is the highest atmospheric background reference monitoring station in the world and the first atmospheric background reference monitoring station located in the hinterland of a continent. The Waliguan Atmospheric Background Reference Observatory is jointly invested and constructed by the Chinese government and the Global Environment Facility, and is operated and managed by the China Meteorological Administration. Comprehensive atmospheric background baseline monitoring mainly focused on greenhouse gas and atmospheric ozone monitoring.
