The dataset contains monthly ground temperature observation data of 17 boreholes from XAEBH01 to XAEBH17 from September 2023 to August 2025. The monitoring depth of each borehole mainly ranges from 0.5 meters to 20 meters, with some boreholes (such as XAEBH12, XAEBH15, XAEBH16) extending their monitoring depth to 40 meters. The data recorded the soil temperature values (in ℃) of each borehole at different depths (0.5m, 1m, 1.5m, 2m, 2.5m, 3m, 3.5m, 4m, 4.5m, 5m, 6m, 7m, 8m, 9m, 10m, 12m, 14m, 16m, 18m, 20m, with some boreholes including 25m, 30m, 35m, 40m). There are a small number of missing values in the data, represented by 'NaN'.

Ground temperature monitoring uses a thermistor thermometer to measure and determine its resistance value, which is then converted into a temperature value.
The data collection adopts a thermistor thermometer, with an observation frequency of once a month. The temperature values of each depth layer are measured in degrees Celsius (℃), and the monitoring depth mainly ranges from 0.5 meters to 20 meters. The monitoring depth of three boreholes, XAEBH12, XAEBH15, and XAEBH16, extends to 40 meters.
The overall integrity of the data is good, covering the entire annual cycle and reflecting the seasonal variation of ground temperature.
