This dataset represents vector point data on the spatial distribution of religious sites in the Yellow River Basin. It originates from the State Administration for Religious Affairs and local religious management departments. Geospatial elements within the basin were extracted and standardized to the CGCS2000 coordinate system, covering the entire Yellow River Basin.

Based on the spatial distribution information of religious sites in China provided by the State Administration for Religious Affairs and local religious affairs administration departments, this study conducted vectorization of religious site distributions. Vector point elements within the boundaries of the Yellow River Basin were extracted. The processed data were uniformly transformed into the CGCS2000 coordinate system using ArcGIS to ensure accuracy at the watershed scale.
The data were rigorously cross-referenced and verified using multiple online map platforms, including Amap (Gaode Map), Baidu Map, and Tencent Map.
