This dataset represents vector point data on the spatial distribution of Provincial Key Cultural Relics Protection Units in the Yellow River Basin. It originates from the official websites of the Gansu Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration, Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration, Shanxi Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration, Department of Culture and Tourism of Qinghai Province, Department of Culture and Tourism of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Geospatial elements within the basin were extracted and standardized to the CGCS2000 coordinate system, covering the entire Yellow River Basin.

Based on the spatial distribution information of Provincial Key Cultural Relics Protection Units provided by the official websites of the Gansu Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration, Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration, Shanxi Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration, Department of Culture and Tourism of Qinghai Province, Department of Culture and Tourism of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, this study conducted vectorization of Provincial Key Cultural Relics Protection Units. Through spatial overlay analysis, vector point elements within the boundaries of the Yellow River Basin were extracted. The processed data were uniformly transformed into the CGCS2000 coordinate system using ArcGIS to ensure accuracy at the watershed scale.
The data were rigorously cross-referenced and verified using multiple online map platforms, including Amap (Gaode Map), Baidu Map, and Tencent Map.
