Ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin "is one of the major national strategies, and the issues of food security and ecological security caused by soil erosion have attracted much attention. Evaluating the spatiotemporal evolution process of soil erosion has important scientific significance for improving the regional ecological environment and sustainable development. This data can reflect the spatiotemporal changes of soil wind erosion in the Yellow River Basin since 2000, mainly focusing on the spatiotemporal dynamic evaluation of land soil wind erosion and ecological environment quality evaluation.

The naming convention for the soil wind erosion dataset in the Yellow River Basin is HHLY_Trfs_Year.tif, where HHLY represents the Yellow River Basin, Trfs represents the soil wind erosion modulus, and Year represents the year. For example, HHLY_Trfs_2000.tif represents the soil wind erosion modulus data of the Yellow River Basin in 2000. This dataset contains a total of 19 layer data from 2000 to 2018.
The method of combining ground investigation with RWEQ model is used to evaluate the annual soil wind erosion intensity in the Yellow River Basin from 2000 to 2018, fully considering climate factors, soil erodibility, soil crust, surface roughness, comprehensive vegetation and other factors to measure soil wind erosion.
