Datasets description

    This dataset provides typical stratigraphic profile data revealed by drilling exploration at 8 locations along the China Russia Crude Oil Pipeline (CRCOP). The data records cover the geological lithology, thickness, and frozen soil characteristics of the pipeline mileage K8~K391 interval (latitude and longitude range: 50.47 °~53.32 ° N, 124.01 °~124.70 ° E). This dataset can provide key geological background parameters for the stability analysis of buried pipeline foundations in cold regions and the prevention and control of thermal melting disasters.

    The data fields in the table include borehole number, pipeline mileage (K8, K94, etc.), location information (longitude and latitude of the borehole center point and surface elevation), borehole depth, lithology and thickness of the formation, and formation description (including frozen soil characteristics).

Data source description

    Obtained through geological exploration and drilling along the China Russia crude oil pipeline.

Data quality description

    Users can import Excel spreadsheets into geological mapping software for drawing stratigraphic profiles. This data can be combined with ground temperature monitoring data along the pipeline to analyze the impact of permafrost degradation on the stability of buried pipelines.
